It Has Been A While

Well it has been a while since I last wrote on this Blog. Largely since I have been working with a group on a blog that is looking at renewal in the church. If you would like to check out my other blog you can go to http://abtrenewal.wordpress.com/.

So why the switch? Well there are many reasons. In a large part it is because there is such a need for mainline churches to be renewed, and this is not something someone can do on their own. It is one of be best features of 'organized' religion that it involves people coming together (as well as one of its most channelling aspects). So a group of us got together, including a Bishop, to start dreaming together about what might be possible for the church.

What has been amazing has been to watch the spirit move within this group, and at the same time to watch the spirit begin to move within the church. Who know perhaps the dry bone can be joined together again.

I am still questioning though. From what I have seen and experienced of the church, it will take nothing short of a revolution for us to be renewed (just to make the slight joke in this obvious, revolution means to be turned, just as the word repentance also means to be turned - within christianity this turning at its core is a turning from one' self to God)

Who know I might be back to this blog . . . we shall see.
